This place is the hidden gem in Burleigh Heads. New and second hand books and fab genre range. The fact it's 2 metres from a great coffee and health food shop, is a bonus. The staff are lovely and helpful, especially owner Candice. If you want a special book, she will order it in. Fantastic range of SF and Fantasy, my fav, and love their support and stock of children's books. I Highly Recommend Big B books.

The proprietor was very helpful and friendly. Some new but mostly used books. I purchased Dream Angus by Alexander McCall Smith. And reading it now.

We come to Burleigh Heads to holiday every year ... one of my favourite things to do is check out the stacked shelves from Big B Books. Such a great array to choose from, and especially love I can bring books back and swap or get discounts. It's great to choose from new books, but I especially love that we can recycle secondhand books ... and note, there are no scrappy ones in this shop. The owner, Candice has a formidable knowledge of books and their authors, and is very happy to help customers too. A great addition to James Street.

I’ve passed by this bookstore so many times and finally decided to pop in. What a delightful surprise! It’s cozy and full of charm, with an excellent variety of books. The staff is helpful without being pushy, and I left with a stack of books I can’t wait to dive into.

It's such a lovely store! The lady serving us was kind, and the shop was well stocked and presented. It's one of the best selections I've seen in a bookstore for a while. It is a great store to hunt for classics. They sell new and second hand at reasonable prices. All the second-hand books were in great condition, too. Thanks!

Last year, my first time been in this store was with my European friend, then again same year I was recommended this store by my best friend. Honestly, I really enjoyed the books I got which relate to Nile river and also NYC travel. I feel really grateful to be able to have a quick chat with the lovely lady, and to give my books to the store this afternoon. Because I hit traffic, so I only got there just about 5pm, so grateful … Anyways, I will visit again after I return back the Coast next time, and I hope more people can visit here and find what they want to read …

This quaint little book store is definitely worth a visit. It has a terrific and up to date range of a wide variety of books. The owner is really friendly as well as helpful as are her staff. It’s tucked away in an arcade on Janes Street. Just look for the yellow Social Brew sign and it’ll be there. They also have a cool buy and points system where you can exchange your used books for a discount which increases as your book returns do.
